Update on Repairs and Renovations to Hillsboro's Old Stone School
Meeting Room 
The entire meeting room, including the plaster walls, ceiling, doors, and hardwood floor, was damaged by fire, heat, and smoke. The three east windows had to be destroyed during the fire fighting process. The other two windows in that room were also damaged. The items in this room that were damaged include:
The meeting room of Hillsboro’s Old Stone School has been cleaned and paint has been stripped from the ceiling and doors and other woodwork in the room.

Hillsboro ’s Old Stone School
The original name of the school was Locust Grove Academy. The oldest part of the building, the east wing, where the fire occurred, was built in 1874. Read more...About the HCA
The HCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and maintaining Hillsboro’s Old Stone School. Funds to help fulfill this charter come from membership fees, rental fees, and donations.
