Update on Repairs and Renovations to Hillsboro's Old Stone School Auditorium
Smoke damage permeated the auditorium, including the plaster walls and hardwood floors. During the cleaning process, some areas of the plaster walls as well as the hardwood floors were damaged further. Curtains, including the stage curtains, were all damaged by smoke.
The walls and floor of the auditorium and stage have professionally cleaned, and the entire room has been painted. The floors are being sanded and will be refinished. The stage curtains were professionally cleaned and will be reinstalled when the repairs and renovations to the auditorium have been completed, along with new window curtains.
