We invite you to become a Friend of the Old Stone School by joining the Hillsboro Community Association (HCA)!
What is the HCA?
The HCA was formed in 1976 to save the Old Stone School , formerly the Locust Grove Academy, from destruction. For almost 35 years, the non-profit HCA has had the responsibility of preserving and
maintaining the Old Stone School , where the HCA hosts community events such as our annual Independence Day celebration, the Christmas in Hillsboro Homes Tour, the annual holiday craft fair, haunted house, and greens workshops. The Old Stone School is also available to rent for parties, events, and classes. Your tax-deductible fees and donations helps us continue our efforts to preserve this historic building and host events for our community!

Who can become a member?
Anyone can become a member of the Hillsboro Community Association; you don’t need to live in Hillsboro to be a member. Residents of Hillsboro, in particular, are encouraged to become members to help preserve and maintain the building that is the center of our community and helps bring us together at events throughout the year.
Dues and donations
Family dues are currently $15 per year. Donations are always welcome. Click here for the 2010 Membership and Donation Form. Please make out your check to The Hillsboro Community Association, and mail your completed form and check to:

Monthly meetings
The Hillsboro Community Association meets the last Thursday of each month (except December) at The Old Stone School at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome.

Hillsboro ’s Old Stone School

The HCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and maintaining Hillsboro’s Old Stone School. Funds to help fulfill this charter come from membership fees, rental fees, and donations.
