2008 HCA Independence Day Celebration Photos
In the auditorium, while free ice cream was being served, the Blue Ridge Thunder Cloggers gave a special performance to a captivated crowd. In the back of the auditorium, a display of the fire and progress made to repair damage was set up with a jar for donations. Outside the auditorium, the HCA sold bake sale items, t-shirts, and raffle tickets, and the local fire department set up a table with information and giveaways for kids.

Hillsboro ’s Old Stone School
The original name of the school was Locust Grove Academy. The oldest part of the building, the east wing, where the fire occurred, was built in 1874. Read more...About the HCA
The HCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and maintaining Hillsboro’s Old Stone School. Funds to help fulfill this charter come from membership fees, rental fees, and donations.
